Advertisement Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Hi davidmires, Take a look here Another red car from the Colorado Grand. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
topoxforddoc Posted September 19, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 19, 2007 David, Nice car. Did the TR in your shot have a slightly older red (more magenta) than the current rosso corsa? Charlie
stuny Posted September 19, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 19, 2007 David - Thank you for posting this beauty - the Scaglietti bodies of that period are among my favorites. Do you have more? Perhaps of the Devin? Did the Devin have a Corvair engine?
elansprint72 Posted September 20, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 20, 2007 David, Nice car. Did the TR in your shot have a slightly older red (more magenta) than the current rosso corsa? Charlie Looks perfect to me, having spent last week-end with the Vintage Sports Car Club Another lovely shot, getting down low is the way to shoot these things; hope you have more to show. davidmires Posted September 20, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted September 20, 2007 Thanks for the replies, everyone. Charlie - I'm not sure about the current color, but all of the red Ferraris that I saw on Monday were pretty close to this hue. Thanks for looking! Stuart - You're welcome:) I do have more to post, there are a lot of cool cars here this year. I will post more as I have the time. Re: the Devin, I took a frontal of it, but nothing else. I seemed to be stuck on one angle as I was walking around this particular parking lot... The motor is a pushrod v8 with Webers, but I'm not sure if it is a Corvair motor. Pete - Thanks for the compliment. I will post more soon. Cheers, David. P.S. After looking at other photos, I'm not sure this is the TR/60...any help identifying it would be appreciated. Cheers! elansprint72 Posted September 21, 2007 Share #9 Posted September 21, 2007 Another lovely shot- keep 'em comin'! I don't think that two of the cars from this era were exactly the same, all the bodies were hand-made, usually without drawings; it's often difficult to say exactly which model is which.
