I loose my favourite menu each time after setting it.  Am I missing any step in the process?

Although I never understood the need for the fav menu since the menu button has already collected all the useful stuff, together with the function buttons. Neither can I save the favorite's settings. I thought it was just me not knowing how, apparently we're two on this.

OK @Edwin Ho I thought it might’ve helped.  I’ve got the M10-R and it literally works the same way.

Select Customise Control in the main menu

Select Edit Favourites

Select the desired menu item

Select On/Off

Press the menu button or the shutter button to come out of edit favourites, once you’ve selected what you want.

Can you elaborate on what happened? For example, do you set a couple of entries in favorites, and previous entries disappear from favorites, i.e., no favorites are visible?

The fav menu saves me from scrolling through multi pages of the main menu.

FYI, while fav menu allows 11 items, I planned to restrict numbers to only one page (for easy viewing).

I agree, favorites menu helps a lot with quickly locating most used functions.

I agree on using the favorite menu.  One the ones I use is picking the lens so I can use it with non-6 bit coded lenses and get there fast.  Yet, that does not warrant a function button where I might have different meter selection, or other items….

Thank you all who replied to my original post in regards to favourite menu. After several attempts and with better understanding, I am able to resolve the issue.

I have created 5 profiles, each meeting specific need. And in each profile, I do have a favourite menu for each. What did I not do in the past? I realise that I must save the settings (menu - User Profile - Manage Profile - Safe as Profile). From here, I then choose the profile I wish to save to. After which, each time I select a profile, e.g. Architecture, I will have Perspective Control as a Favourite Menu. I then decide to have it on or off.

Of course there are work around options which involve one or two more steps. As for me, I just want to get to the bottom of it and use the M11 efficiently.

Hope this is of help to those who suffer similar frustration that I went through. Unfortunately, the Leica instruction manual does not explain this.
