Edwin Ho Posted September 24, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted September 24, 2022 Thank you OThomas. I've watched this video in the past, but it did not address the problem I experienced.

Although I never understood the need for the fav menu since the menu button has already collected all the useful stuff, together with the function buttons. Neither can I save the favorite's settings. I thought it was just me not knowing how, apparently we're two on this.
Guest Posted September 24, 2022 Share #5 Posted September 24, 2022 (edited) OK @Edwin Ho I thought it might’ve helped. I’ve got the M10-R and it literally works the same way. Select Customise Control in the main menu Select Edit Favourites Select the desired menu item Select On/Off Press the menu button or the shutter button to come out of edit favourites, once you’ve selected what you want. Can you elaborate on what happened? For example, do you set a couple of entries in favorites, and previous entries disappear from favorites, i.e., no favorites are visible? Edwin Ho Posted September 25, 2022 Author Share #7 Posted September 25, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have now successfully set User profiles as well as a favourite menu. I could have missed some steps while setting favourite menu earlier. Thank you all, much appreciated.

The fav menu saves me from scrolling through multi pages of the main menu. FYI, while fav menu allows 11 items, I planned to restrict numbers to only one page (for easy viewing). davidmknoble Posted September 26, 2022 Share #12 Posted September 26, 2022 I agree on using the favorite menu. One the ones I use is picking the lens so I can use it with non-6 bit coded lenses and get there fast. Yet, that does not warrant a function button where I might have different meter selection, or other items….
Edwin Ho Posted February 11, 2024 Author Share #13 Posted February 11, 2024 Thank you all who replied to my original post in regards to favourite menu. After several attempts and with better understanding, I am able to resolve the issue. I have created 5 profiles, each meeting specific need. And in each profile, I do have a favourite menu for each. What did I not do in the past? I realise that I must save the settings (menu - User Profile - Manage Profile - Safe as Profile). From here, I then choose the profile I wish to save to. After which, each time I select a profile, e.g. Architecture, I will have Perspective Control as a Favourite Menu. I then decide to have it on or off. Of course there are work around options which involve one or two more steps. As for me, I just want to get to the bottom of it and use the M11 efficiently. Hope this is of help to those who suffer similar frustration that I went through. Unfortunately, the Leica instruction manual does not explain this. Knightspirit Posted March 18, 2024 Share #14 Posted March 18, 2024 I was missing this menu as well - then realized if you have nothing turned on in the custom control setting - then the favorites menu doesn't show on the main screen. Thanks for the thread!
