MP is alive and kicking

Today in Wetzlar I had the opportunity to be on a guided tour through the production shed. The MP (and it's twin the M-A) is alive and kicking, well in production.

It seems Leica has no reason to stop the production run which will celebrate its 20th anniversary next march. 

The demand is high an stable...

Good news about the MP. If a little bit inappropriate and moronic in the nature of the way you announce it given the current 'situation' for a significant part of the worlds population in the Commonwealth of nations.

It’s good to have conformation that both the M-A and MP are currently still in production. There is enough demand worldwide to keep them available for customers. Neither one has ever sold in large numbers but as has pointed out, the sell every one they make and people are willing to wait for delivery. Thanks for the update.

What is perhaps a little bit inappropriate, moronic, and imperialistic is to assume that the passing of an elderly symbolic head of state in some part of the world has a crippling impact on the day-to-day lives on the rest of the world.

Personally, I was rather impressed by the Queens covid-19 speech when the situation was most serious during Christmas 2020. She also deserves respect as a fellow Leica shooter.

Just bring to some perspective, war continues also in Europe and people die violently on a daily bases in Ukraine and other parts of the world. 

Thus, to say “alive and kicking” seems like a normal thing to do to describe the denial of the assumed death of an analogue camera body.

So, you are sure that all 2,5 billion people would object the use of alive and kicking on a random camera forum by a random forum user?

There seems to be a common denominator appearing on this forum, typically individuals who like to parachute themselves into a discussion and argue in a high minded way yet they all fail to post any photographs. The feeble excuses for not doing so are also similar.

Good news. Hopefully this means the MP will not be replaced and the new film camera Leica is possibly putting out isn't an M6 or rangefinder type.

I'm rooting for that possible new camera to be a Barnack-type updated with m-mount and modern film loading and rangefinder controls.

I post my photos to Flickr and provide a link here as my signature. Unlike here, in Flickr you can upload full size images, which is the reason I prefer to upload there. Whoever wishes to see my photos just needs to click the link below. I am sure you can appreciate this since you have a similar arrangement.

"alive and kicking" wasn't the phrase being objected to. The OP edited their post to remove the offending expression after the complaint.

Sorry have I ignored you, lol, crap does get posted to the bottom of the in-pile doesn't it? It was an unfortunate expression by the OP to describe the death of a Monarch who represented unity and bonding with the wider world better than any Head of State in any other country has ever achieved. This is separate from any democratic, fascist, socialist, or communist mindset you may have. I do not post photographs anywhere, they are my personal relaxation and anti-stress relief, I take them for myself only. Not even my other half has seen my photographs.

And as for posting without posting photographs, there is nothing in the forum rules that’s states in order to partake in this forum you have to post photographs.

Does this match your condition for a feeble excuse?

I was referring to a person (or people it seems) who repeatedly parachute themselves into discussions and start arguments without any other contribution to the community. I guess instead of posting a photograph now and again it would count by being just generally good natured and helpful as are most people, but being purely argumentative is a negative force at work and crosses the boundary of simple disagreement.

So, you keep tabs on people posting photos to this forum? I have no idea who you are or are not, but I just had a look at your Flickr account. Seems a bit repetitive to me; and I'll say that considering that it is you who appear to place a high value on peoples photos.
