I was just looking through some drawers and then this new Leica metal cap showed up. I cannot recall what lens I bought this for and I no longer own the lens so I cannot check. My initial thought was that it could be for a Summarit 75mm or 90mm - but the inner diameter of about 52mm seems large for a lens wih 46mm filter. Can anyone who owns either of these lenses check the diameter of the cap?  If I should sell it I need to know what it is.

Looks like a cap for the Summarit 2.5. For my 90 the cap measures 52.3mm ID (54+ OD). Both 75 & 50 take the same hood, so I think take the same cap also.

To keep costs low on the Summarits, 75 & 90 shaare many common parts, as do the 35 & 50.

Perfect - so this is what it is. Many thanks indeed.
