compensation number in finder

I have just had my m240 for a couple of weeks , and there a lot more things to figure out than on my m8 . I have set compensation to -1/3 to help with blown highlights .

using aperture priority , when I touch the shutter , the .3- comes up first in the viewfinder making a delay before showing the selected shutter speed .  is there a way 

avoid this  ?

None that i'm aware of sorry. It is a feature that was made in purpose if i remember well. Half pressing the shutter release locks automatic exposure at the shutter speed value that was displayed previously.
