carylwithay Posted September 16, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 16, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) When you get a less than perfect image with the camera, painting can really save it. This was painted in Studio Artist software. Hope you like it. Caryl

dougdarter Posted September 17, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2007 Sorry Caryl, I don't like this, it's absolutely no longer a photograph. I'm sure others may like it, but it's not for me.
jaapv Posted September 17, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 17, 2007 I disagree with Doug. The photograph was the raw material in this case. Excellent framing and it captures the bird perfectly.
carylwithay Posted September 17, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted September 17, 2007 Thank you all for your comments. It is not supposed to be a photograph per se, but a work of art using the photo as a base. When i did film work, I used the print as a canvas and painted an collaged to get the finished product. Some of those pieces are in museums now. You can see some on my website at: Caryl Ritter's Photo Galleries at pbase.com in the solarized folder.
