I'm tempted to buy some Fuji Velvia that is being sold off by 7dayshop.com - Online shopping made easy ! at 1.89 pounds a roll. Film dated July 2007 they say. How long is it likely to keep? I'd hope to get through it all in the next twelve months or so.

I'm also tempted to get some more Agfa apx 400 from the same place, but this is dated 2011 and seems a good price at 15.99 pounds for ten. Little chance of not using that before it goes off, I'd say.

I keep telling myself that the next thing I spend any money on has to be some sort of digital camera, but I find these things hard to resist. Meanwhile, blue skies outside, and not a day for spending in front of a computer!

No problem at all. When I first got interested in photography (a long time ago now) there was a photo shop near me that was selling considerably out-of-date Fujichrome for £1.50 each including processing. Even though that was a long time ago it was still bloody cheap and I bought loads of it. At that price I could afford to experiment which was great fun. Although considerably out-of-date I never had any problems with colour rendition. I can only imagine that Fuji have further improved and stabilised their emulsions in the intervening years. Go for it.

And lots on this weekend. London Open Day and the Thames Festival. Took the M6 out for a walk yesterday - very enjoyable :)
