Walking the Highlands.

CL + Vario Elmar 55-135, f/3.5, 1/320, ISO 100

I would love to know which version people prefer between the colour and B/W versions.

Colour.
mono tones are nice, but……crop out the sky some. You may end up preferring it. And I would too.

the 23 is a good one but instead you could try the TL 18.
I like it a lot with the CL

I’m not the only one to have had a poor 23. Sigma 24. Love it.
The CL is doing most of the colour rendering, so you would see much difference.

I have a sigma 65. This is also pretty decent.

I would be forgiven for thinking that was took with something else….first class.  And at that iso..! 👍
That was another lens which was sold.

conclusion is that lens needs mid range…or is a better copy.

Sorry, I realise now that I typed one zero too many. ISO is 1250, not 12500. Thank you for the kind comment. I really enjoy the CL with the TL lenses.

There is more drama in the coloured sky - more nuances, more content. That's why the sky should stay. Instead - the unsharp foreground should be taken out. It is heavy, with no details and no contribution to the well spotted situation.

Otherwise - well done, David!

You could crop both….depends what you want. The originator simply asked colour or mono….

all is subjective.
