I'm about to sell my CL system and so I browsed my LR catalogue to look at the happy days I've had with it and found some shots to share as a valedictory!

I wouldn’t sell it.

I sold mine over a year ago after a few months (I never got on with the interface) and still have nothing to replace it. My girlfriend says I’ve not taken as good a photo of her since. There is nothing else that has the image quality, takes M-lenses (with adapters of course) and is small and light. I never got to experiment much with using it for b&w but posted images look great. I’m still waiting for the CL-2…

I am going to have this camera for a while, I hope comitment is shown by releasing a CL2 however other than IBIS and weather sealing I think it will be difficult to improve on the CL.  (We can always ask for better low light capability and more dynamic range however this snap showed me it already has enough dynamic range to cover from bright chromework to black engine components).

Nice bird, but next time correct the focus manually; AF locked on the foreground..  The "Dehaze" slider in LR and ACR will remove the mist.

Thank you. How should I Dehaze in Photoshop?

Since we are into birds now, here is a shot I took today while I was shooting a boat show.  I haven't used the 18-56 TL for quite some time and I am amazed how good this lens could be in good lighting condition. I used it yesterday for the car show that I posted some photos above; and again today, as the weather was good and I was not handicapped  by the slow aperture, I kept it on my camera for few boat photos, and this one, below.

Agree on the 18-56mm, it's indispensable for me.  If I need faster, that's what the primes are for.

As for birds . . . well, Louis, your bird shots are a heck of a lot better than my street shots! 😉

This is a super view and a super shot!
however, I have dispensed my 18-56 😌

the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 is SO MUCH BETTER! wonderful MFD and gorgeous bokeh.. not dissing the 18-56.. just saying the usefulness of that lens was very limited for me

You are too modest, my friend; your street shot is great. As for my bird shot, I could never come close to your wonderful and inspiring level; certainly not with a 18-56! :)

I posted this bird shot because I was surprised to see a more or less decent bird shot with this kind of lens; and also maybe as a response to the question someone asked about 18-56 in another thread.

BTW, I have an old Nikkor 300 mm. I took it a couple of weeks ago to see if I could use it for any shot. It is huge on CL and impossible to focus handheld. I was too lazy to take a tripod, and even if I did, there is nothing to shoot with this monster in a city with no exotic birds and surprisingly with no interesting flowers. So, I put it back to its rotten case! 🤗

A few from yesterday at a boat exhibition in Miami. It was a sunny and bright day, so I took my 18-56 on CL. I was very pleasantly surprised by the IQ of this glass that I am not using very often and  take only for travels because of its small size.

Which 300 f2.8, f4 or f4.5? I tried an old 300 f4.5 and the helical was just too tight, probably needed a relube. The f2.8s are huge, haven't even considered one with my Nikon. I use the 400 f5.6 Telyt with my CL using a Leica table top tripod as a chest pod so I can hold it at 1/400, it has a Televit, so my left hand holds the pistol grip, right focuses with a nice round dial, and takes the picture, yes slow.
