Shot this at the park early this morning before the sun was blazing and it got up to 115*.    This is Clarice.  She only comes out usually for car shows and club cruises.  I liked the way the light and shadows looked against the backlighting of the trees and the clouds.

Bellagio Hotel Courtyard, Las Vegas NV.  This is indoors.  I was there to shoot the summer exhibit at the Conservatory, which is always a tough shoot due to it being very bright in there with a lot of very vibrant colors.

This is from inside the Conservatory.  The colors in this place are amazing.

I think the winged creature in the second picture would look good in a vertical shot. It might work better than a crop.

It's called a Phoenix.  I did shoot it from several different angles and the issue was the constraints of the area.  I didn't realize at the time that I'd cut off the top of wing.  I posted this image to show all the variations in the colors.  I may go back at night and shoot this again with a wider angle lens, like an 11-23mm.

Blue tits and long tailed tits were very busy.   Not great bird photography but thought they made sweet images.

Rainbow lorikeet eating one of our last apples.  He was very tame, I was probably less than a metre away for these. Not sure where his companion was as they usually live as a couple.

This tree has given us several hundred apples this year so I don't begrudge the wildlife a few…
