You might want to check your sensor for dust spots: looks like you have one on this shot in the upper left quadrant.

EDIT: But as Andy says below, Catalina does work with uploading photos. It may be a program that you are using to process the photos that's being affected.

Thanks Bags....for some reason it finally posted. I’m about ready for a new iMac anyway. Not that I can afford it but it is my only big time hobby🤪
