New to the CL. I'm using my only lens, the 18-56. ISO 5000 @ 18mm, in camera b&w high contrast.

The Pentax-L 43mm f/1.9 Limited is a Leica thread mount lens. ...

The 43mm was considered extra special to the point that in 1998 or so, for reasons that remain opaque to me, they decided to produce this lens in a special Leica thread mount edition with coupled rangefinder cam and a matching optical viewfinder for LTM cameras, both Leica and Voigtländer, and marketed them in the Japanese market.

A small matter of terms: I believe the Leica LTM version is labeled 43 f1/.9 Special instead of ...Limited. You can find one for about US$800 on eBay as of this post.

It's been 15 years since I first heard of this lens, and everywhere I've looked for it, the nomenclature on-line said "Limited" ... but I see "Special" on the lens bezel. LOL! Funny stuff. Thx!

Regardless, it's a wonderful lens. :D

Im imagining that some of you might like to see this rendering before it was tossed and turned by Photoshop. So much to learn so little time

A pond with reflections - CL and 24/90. This lens is great on the CL too. And still useful to handle - even without a tripod. The stabilisaton helps.
