Don't know why you would want a fisheye for this, you got the angles balanced right, can see both walls of the two passageways, and the perspective lines are straight, like a geometry proof.

Thank you. It's not instead of the rectilinear lens, it's as well as. I enjoy the different perspective the FE brings. Ideally I like the distortion to be subtle but I must admit that might be a challenge with this particular scene 😜

Photography for me is about making imagery as well as taking photos, that's all. Photos like this are fine and I enjoy taking them but can be taken by anyone with the requisite level of manual skill and experience who finds themselves in that location - it's a picture of something interesting nothing more.

Thanks for the tip Scott, I am leaving my M at home this time, so will see how I go.

I love to shoot at night Dippy but at home live out in the sticks a little bit so don't do it often.  Last time I was in Venice I finished every evening in Piazza St Marco ( my hotel was 2 minutes walk away) listening to the music and eating ice cream.  This time I am staying near the Arsenale, Castello district but I'm sure I will still make my way to the Piazza.   I am usually most comfortable shooting with a fast 50mm (or for the CL the 35mm) and pretty useless at wide-angle, my head just doesn't see it and I usually end up disappointed in my efforts.  I could do with coming out with you for some tuition!

LOL - with pleasure but only if you can teach me how to shoot with something longer than 10mm.

Don't forget the Voigtlander gives those lovely little starbursts at night - just make sure you have have something in the foreground and shoot!

Have an ice-cream for me (sooooo jealous.....)

Little bit of street photography with the 23mm in Melbourne CBD

I know in today's day and age, cell phones are just part of the culture... but I always thinks to myself that someone using a cell phone in such an awesome photograph sort of ruins it for me.  I have a photo of my brother in law and his 4 year old son at a funeral, graveside, casket going down, and the little young man is looking up to his father for guidance on what's happening.. you can't see dad's head in the shot, it's absolutely perfect... except he's checking his friggin email on his phone!  AHHHHH the humanity!  haha
