I'm embarrassed to say 'no'. And I've never bothered to use an in-camera panorama feature but I'm tempted to try now that you mention it. I suppose I'll have to read the manual <sigh> Thanks.

Set the scene mode to panorama in the main menu and then you can select it by the left wheel.

More shots from the choir rehearsal. CL + Apo-Summicron-SL 90. These both at ISO 1600 and f/2. Also minimal processing, to show what this lens and body can produce. Wide open, it allows you to pick a face from the crowd. The second shot has been cropped slightly to centre the face.

Making your own art is usually more fun. I can remember not that long ago when you would barely have walked around here during the day let alone at night. The regeneration has been spectacular. I'm planning to visit the new conversion at Coal Drops Yard sometime soon, have you been?

Here's my 'just for fun' pano - 4 shots with the 11-23 at 11mm handheld. It really needs 2 or even 3 rows and a tripod rather than the single row I did so I had to stitch it to a spherical projection. Still it's fun and lovely to have a view of the whole roof span.

Full size JPG on Dropbox

That is very nice!

and here is the birthday boy enjoying time with grandma -- who I happen to enjoy time with as well  :-)!!!!

serious word on the CL -- I find the performance much better with my M and R lenses than with the 18-50 zoom that came with the camera -- nothing scientific, just my opinion.

HeinzX, your flower studies are truly delightful, realistic and inspiring. With the X Vario plus attachment with zoom lens set to 70mm there is a useful separation between front of lens and object. How does it work out with the CL which requires the zoom to be set at the wide-angle end of the zoom range when shooting macro?

I notice that you chose your tele-zoom lens for the first shot, rather than the standard zoom. What influenced that choice and have you tried using dioptre attachments with the 55-85mm lens?

Thank you for your kind attention. The exifs of the first photo with the 55-135 are as follows: F 11, focal length 135 mm (which is the maximum), shutter speed 1/400, ISO 4000. The picture was taken inside a glass house. The focal length was necessary because there was no way to get nearer to the flowers. Regarding real macros it is easier to make macros with the SL and an adapted Canon Macro lens, but this combination is much heavier and was not with me. The Marumi achromat used in the second picture is a help but cannot replace a real Macro lens. And unfortuantely there is no adapter available and will not be in forseeable future, which allows adapting the Canon lenses on the CL. So for this purpose it is possible to buy the Leica Macro 60 mm - which is excellent but expensive just for a few macros or to wait for the Sigma Macro 70 mm for Leica L. At least I hope this one would work together with the CL too.

Again two shots withs the CL and the magnificent 11-23 zoom. I really love that lens.
