I have been hiking through the "Devil's Gorge" (there must be thousands of devil's gorges around the world) near Irrel, Germany, not far from Luxemburg.  There are more images on the German CL image forum with some additional information. Actually most of the pictures come out better in color, I think.

I like your pictures.  Somehow the colours look - not sure how to put it - 'undernourished' for pictures from a CL.  If it's intentional, I guess it's just different tastes.  If its not, are you converting from DNG files or could you be overexposing somehow?

This is straight out of camera. This is the jpg not the dng. Colors are pretty much exact from my recollection.

I also enjoy the TL 35mm 1.4. Sometimes, out of the camera needs a little help. I like your fishing photograph but Personally I’d bring the other two to the hospital.

I viewed the dng's and then when viewing the jpgs - I noticed how accurate the colors were. I thought well I could easily modify to my own taste but thought - lets keep it accurate. So the other two that you would bring to the hospital - lets discuss. One was the flowers - were they too busy...is that why? The other one - walking the dog - what needs surgery on that one? LOL

You are probably one of the first people to ask me what needs to be done in my 15.5 years as a forum member. So, that should give you an idea of my expertise. I personally hate large amounts of white sky in color photographs so I would zoom in and crop and probably darken and add more contrast and vividness. The dog: I never saw the dog which is the bed part of the sot, not The soccer goals way over on the left side. So, I would zoom in and crop using the trees as framing tools. Please don’t criticize my photographs because I don’t know if my ego could take it.

Cheers

Best part of the shot not sod. I’m getting very old.

Your response - is spot on in my opinion. I looked at those two pictures after the post and the only thing I found I didnt like - were what you mentioned. I am not a big fan of large white skies either and I did notice how far that dog was in the picture. It was a good distance away. I do appreciate your honesty and response. It helps me get better. Thanks. :)
