Hey @sinjun
Big thanks for the precise test. This shows that there is a temperature difference in the same place as me. I don't know if it's related to where the hand is placed.
Leica has just sent me a visoflex 020 so that I can measure the temperature difference with the visoflex 2 (I need to find an infrared thermometer 😦)

In the meantime (just for fun) here is a comparison of the size of the screens inside the two visoflex and the color drift.

Thanks for posting this very useful information.  I was under the wrong impression about the screen size thinking the new visoflex was larger, perhaps it is on the m11.  Certainly is a difference in colors, but if strictly used as a focusing aid it shouldn't matter much for my uses.

Thank you @Flamboyant for posting such specific comparisons! I've been looking for exactly this.

I don't quite understand the color shift (not knowing what the true colors are). Can you talk a little more about it?

(Although it's academic for me, as I leave my 020 on monochrome mode...)

These can be found relatively inexpensively e.g.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Handheld-Temperature-Thermometer-Non-Contact-Infrared/dp/B00P7AFL1Q/ref=sr_1_10?crid=FHS469P3AN4O&keywords=ir+thermometer+gun&qid=1658508370&sprefix=IR+thermo%2Caps%2C63&sr=8-10

Mine is pretty accurate in most circumstances simply assuming the target is a black body at the wavelength used,  i.e. 100% emmisivity.

The viso 2 actually gives another pleasing classic solid looks, though for the previous size eye relief comparisons, it rather gives a more itch relief to the eye

but is it still as big as the OVF?

Hi everyone

@Siriusone59
On the M11 the screen of the visoflex 2 is as big as the visoflex 020 on M10.
On the M10 the visoflex screen is reduced (cropped) to reach the maximum resolution of 2.36MP. (I have an M10-D, that's why in my photos the screen is smaller on the visoflex 2)

Visoflex 020 > 2.36 million pixels LCD
Visoflex 2 > 3.7 million pixels OLED

@jslabovitz
The visoflex 020 is an LCD screen and the visoflex 2 is an OLED screen. So the screen with a color closer to reality is the visoflex 2. It is also brighter (normally it also consumes less energy, even if I have a heat problem on my leica body)

@jakontil
I think visoflex 2 on the M10, due to downsizing to accommodate the reduced resolution of 2.36MP, the screen is a bit smaller than on the OVF. On the M11 the visoflex 2 must be the same size of OVF and on the M10 with the visoflex 020 it must also be the same size of OVF.

@microview
I think it's all a matter of perspective ^^ I understand people who prefer the old version.
Personally I find the design of the new one, much more fitting with the M body. The finish is solid and better (metal). The focus wheel for eye is harder and nicer. The magnets hold the viewfinder better (there is no risk of it moving like the old one). The visoflex 2 does not protrude over the wheel (on this one, I have no problem pulling the thumb lever on my M10-D). With the old one, it was blocked because it was overflowing on it. There is no GPS, I never use it but I understand that it is a lack for those who need it.
The biggest flaw for me is the reduction in screen size on M10 to match the lower resolution of 2.36MP. Leica should have found a solution by keeping the same screen size and reducing the resolution quality. Too bad.
