I have the 020, which is very useful for third-party lenses with adapters. It sits somewhat monstrously on my M10 - but it does its job more or less. Most of the time it works properly when I switch on the M10. Whenever I look from my Panasonic S1R and its excellent EVF into the 020, I have the feeling that it wants to insult my eyes, as the resolution is no longer quite up to date.

when using the  V2 on an M10 which I understand produces a smaller image than using the 020, when turning the focus ring with cam set to zoom, does the zoom image then fill the screen of the V2 and clearly show the peaking red lines?

Hello,

I can't decide if I have to go with the Visoflex 2 or 020 for my M10.

I will just use it with the 21mm (for the composition, but not to help me to focus).

Here are some cons for each one:

- Visoflex 2 has a smaller image, and is more expensive (but I could use it later if I buy a Leica m11)

- Visoflex 020 is bigger

Do some of you use the Visoflex 2 on the M10? Is the image tall enough to compose?

Thank you!

I am using visoflex 2 with m10, usually I shoot with 50 keeping 21 in the pocket. I prefer visoflex over 21 viewfinder as it’s better for critical composition. Never had evf 020, so I can’t compare directly but coming from m240 with evf it definitely was a progress and size of the image is good enough for my daily needs.

I'm getting conflicting information: Which of these will work with the M10-R?

TIA.

Both! For Visoflex 2, camera has to be loaded with latest firmvare. It works fine though, although I had some issues with it on the beggining: the Visoflex 2 screen suddenly became blanc. Leica even replaced it with new one! However, I found out, that for faultless working, Visoflex has to be put in accessory shoe befor turining camera on. Use it that way works perfectly fine. I used it with 21 SEM, 28 summilux and 35 APO, both for composition and even focusing!

I was considering which one I will use in future.

I use the M10R and usually the 020, in several circumstances like 90 mm or adapted lenses like the canon FD 55 mm F1 .2.

Now I got the Visoflex 2 for 520,- Euro from a Leica-Dealer. Used but as good as new.

Compared both several times and also with the Q3 and the SL2S.

What do I have to say?
The screen is smaller than in the 020, yes!

But as I am wearing glasses all the time, the angel of view is now like it is in the Leica SL2S for example.

With the 020 I had no chance to see the whole screen. With the Visoflex 3 it is very easy but not too small!

So my recommendation is, if you are wearing glasses and there are circumstances where it is better to use the EVF, the Visoflex 2 is a very good decision!!!!!

I've got the 020 as it has onboard GPS functionality, which I use quite often in unfamiliar places, plus it was the only evf available for my M10-R. I don't actually use the viewfinder functionality that much these days, I prefer to use the back screen if I need to use focus assist, but it is always with me, either on camera or in my bag.

Thank you very much. I am thinking about buying the Visoflex 2 and I wear glasses. That was the needed info 😉
