Does the Leica Q and the SL2 use the same size hot shoe?

Are there different sizes then? In my experience virtually all flashes (at least post-WWII) fit on virtually all cameras - except for the different electronic systems and electric connections. Leica uses two configurations - one for the Panaleicas and one for the "true" (in no way. meant negatively) Leicas, like M, L,Q,CL,TL and SL series.

yes I think there are different sizes between cameras.

I use different tiggers and some of them don't fit on some of them. but I already forgot with on is smaller. I think SL2 is smaller.

That is a tolerance problem. I too had to take a file to a flash shoe from time to time or shim a hot shoe with a piece of paper. Sloppy manufacturing. But for Leica cameras Theo should not be any issue across the range b

What is the reason for your question? Are you looking for the proper Hot Shoe cover? If so, the one for the Q fits perfectly and are available at Leica Store Miami and B+H Photo.

It is also possible that others may fit as well
