At time I would be willing to purchase from RRS (as I have done for years) but shipping rates to Australia are outrages as well. I have purchased L brackets for my SL2S and X-T4 from China, equal quality and just a few dollars for shipping or at times free shipping.
Hausen17 Posted August 22, 2022 Share #23 Â Posted August 22, 2022 I got home to NZ from a month in Switzerland/Iceland and my RRS bracket was at the door. Wish it arrived before I left, and shipping was crazy to NZ, but I use my M11 as a LE camera so L bracket is a must. Anything to do with Leica is expensive so I just bit the bullet. Fits great, not as snug as the Q2 one I have though.
drunkenspyder Posted August 23, 2022 Share #24  Posted August 23, 2022 (edited) I am a longtime RRS customer and have had their L brackets for just about every camera I have owned. But when I rented an M11 for a series of trips to see if I wanted to own one, the RRS bracket was not an option. Nor was there a LIM case with integrated dovetail like I have for my Q2. So, I ordered the Leica Grip & Base, figuring that if I didn’t like the M11, I could always return the grip so long as I took reasonable care of it. No worries. I loved the M11 and am (im)patiently waiting for mine. The Leica grip worked extremely well. Not having an L bracket takes a little bit of getting-used-to for vertical shots, but that’s okay. And I didn’t miss the added bulk of the ‘L’. The Leica grip and base are expensive, but . . . this was all voluntary on my part. 😉 Welcome, dear visitor! Of course the M11 base is better than the M10 baseplate. In hand, the new L plate is more comfortable too. Access to the battery is easy, but the card is a reach.  I do not miss the modularity of the RRS M10.  Jack Welcome, dear visitor! I tried the grip but didn't like it, but the baseplate and L bracket stay on all the time. I'm sure there are some who like the grip and baseplate but don't want the L bracket and even those who just run with the baseplate alone. It's nice to have the option to customize it as you like it. Cheers, jc
sdk Posted August 30, 2022 Share #26  Posted August 30, 2022 I just got the Really Right Stuff Leica M11 grip last week and I love it. Truly makes the camera easier to handhold, and a snap to mount on my tripods and monopod. Unlike their grip for my Leica M-P, the new grip has a little notch for a finger, making for a much more secure grip. I had to put rubber grip material on the M240 version, and I also will put some on the M11 one, but it isn't a near necessity as it was with the older grip.
