malligator Posted May 6, 2022 Share #1  Posted May 6, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I took some portraits with sun in the frame (late afternoon, early evening weak sun). It seems the sun jumped across frames (negative and contact sheet below). Is that normal or should I have it looked at? Pyrogallol Posted May 6, 2022 Share #2 Â Posted May 6, 2022 (edited) Normal. Too much light in one spot has bled across. Nothing wrong with the camera or lens. Edited May 6, 2022 by Pyrogallol 1
tfyl Posted May 6, 2022 Share #3 Â Posted May 6, 2022 I think this is called "film halation", nothing wrong on your camera and lens, just don't tilt the lens too up toward the sun can reduce the chance

Huss Posted May 12, 2022 Share #6 Â Posted May 12, 2022 Happens to me with any film camera I use - not just Leica - if the sun is in the image along a border.
