Advertisement Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Hi schimmey, Take a look here M11 - Pentax Sensor cleaning kit O-ICK1. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
michaelcole Posted May 10, 2022 Share #2 Â Posted May 10, 2022 A Giottos Rocket-Air blower is all I need most of the time for my Leica M-P 240, but when I did something more than that I use the Pentax 0-ICK1 and it works great. Â
schimmey Posted May 10, 2022 Author Share #3  Posted May 10, 2022 Thanks Michael, I have purchased an air blower similar to yours. My main concern is that I read that the glass in front of the M11 sensor is a lot thinner than on the M10 and earlier. The pentax stick has quite a stickiness and don’t won’t to break that glass. Cheers and happy shooting. Paul
hmzimelka Posted May 10, 2022 Share #4  Posted May 10, 2022 (edited) You won't break the cover glass unless you apply considerable pressure.  The pentax gel stick is the only tool I use to clean my camera sensors when an air blower isn't up to the task.  I've not yet needed it on my M11 though. Edited May 10, 2022 by hmzimelka
schimmey Posted May 10, 2022 Author Share #5  Posted May 10, 2022 Thanks hmzimelka, Good to read. How often do you guys find you use the air blower? I have a real fear of trying to clean the sensor - even blasting air onto it 🙂 Paul
michaelcole Posted May 11, 2022 Share #6  Posted May 11, 2022 I use the air blower when I notice dust in the images, which is around every few months or so for me  with regular use.  I hold the camera facing down when I use the blower and I use the dust detection feature in the menu to test my work.

I don't let it accumulate. It's definitely not as delicate as you make it out to be. Once you do it a few times your confidence will grow. Just to avoid tempting fate, just like when updating firmware, make sure your battery has a good charge and you should be set.
