Though it certainly could happen, I think it's unlikely that Russia will do a first strike nuclear attack on the US due to our second-strike capability vis submarine launched and bomber launched nuclear weapons. I sure glad I mover out of the Los Angels area and I agree, I doubt that Russia would knowing our capabilities to strike back. India and China will continue to buy Russian energy and oil.
