Although I do understand your point, but having lived in different parts of our changing world, I noticed that unconventional life style exists everywhere, but maybe not in public in most undemocratic parts which allows them to hypocritically criticize what is more open in our democratic world. Being despised is far better than living in a place like North Korea where there is no freedom of expression. Unfortunately, NK is not the only country; there are more other governments that are refusing for their nation what we take for granted in the Western democracies.
