A young woman was brutally raped, beaten and left for dead on a bike path in our community. She survived, but just barely. A large group of mostly women gathered to "take back the night" and marched through the area in a downpour chanting and justifiably expressing their rage. The rapist has not yet been caught but if he is I'd love for the police to turn him over to this crowd.

Very good PJ.  Sadly, I doubt this issue will ever be solved, but I'm hopeful.  When I was grade school age rape was a capital offence in these parts, and that didn't seem to have a discernable [impact.

Only men can end this. It's one of the most despicable crimes there is.
