Firmware update Unable to download from Leica site.

Good Morning......I am unable to download the newest update for a recently purchased new M10M . It says download failed on the Leica site.

Can anyone send me a copy either by email  (james@edgesoflight.com) or suggest how I can update. I would like to take advantage of the perspective control in the new firmware..

None of the M10 firmware downloads appear to be working. Hopefully this means that the new versions are about to be made available.

Good thought, I will wait a few days….thanks…..loving the camera, the tones seem to glow with a enteric feeling sometimes.

I'm curious, what is the firmware level on your new out-of-the-box M10M?

I just bought a new M10M "Leitz Wetzlar" from Leica Store SF and when I fired it up and took my first shot, the image number was L1001873 (new memory card so no, it didn't see images on the card and just increment the number).   Firmware was already at 3.21.2.50.  Although the camera certainly LOOKS brand new, I'm wondering if it was used as a demo.

I do not think you should worry.  Leica does some QC before the camera leave the factory.  This might include taking some test shots.  Now you might ask yourself : 1872 test shots? Really?  It might however well be that the tester used the same card for dozen of camera's and might have forgotten to reset the image numbering before handing over the camera to the next QC station.

I do not have this info first hand.  However I read it on this forum someday and it looks a plausible explanation to me.
