I shoot my CL almost 100% with M-mount lenses. I love the Leica offerings & I love the Sigma offerings, in fact, I kept hold of the Sigma 30mm f1.4 just, because...

My Wife uses a Sigma 18-50 f2.8 with her CL & is always smiling, so, I say, "If you're happy with it, crack on".

I personally can't take any camera without a viewfinder seriously, but even if the Ricoh did outclass the CL with the TL18, so what? Does it also outclass the 11-23, 23, 35, etc.? I myself have no objections to the performance of my TL18, but not a single person has ever claimed it to be the standout lens in the system.

Not knocking the IQ of the Ricoh, by the way.  It's just that the user experience is also important to me, and a GRIII will never handle like a CL (to me).

Indeed, I'm only referring to the TL18 when I compare to the Ricoh GRiii - that's what matters most to me, as it's my favorite focal length. If Leica had continued the CL/TL line I would certainly have stuck with it and gotten more lenses, especially the fast wide-angle prime they never made.

I also *much* prefer using an EVF than an LCD screen and do wish the Ricoh had one. But it doesn't. At least it's pocketable though.

Well that's odd. Two of you out there with better TL18 results than the GRiii. I'm tempted to upload some examples because my GRiii *clearly* outclasses my (ex) TL18.

I agree I prefer the Q2 in every way except cost and size, in 28 mm mode. Not so much in crop mode.

As I said, I have the GRIIIx so it might not be an apples to apples comparison.  I am way overrepresented at the 28mm equivalent right now with the TL18 and Q2 and will have a hard time justifying adding a GRIII to the mix.  I was contemplating selling the 18TL when it had value, but now alas. . .

You can attach a 28mm optical viewfinder to help with the framing though. Ricoh has one designed to sit well on the camera. I got a cheap third party one off ebay, but in the end it sits unused. I mostly either use the lcd screen or use the camera with the back screen turned off and in snap mode
