M11: 20 practical questions to the early adopters

In trying to figure out whether this is an interesting camera as in "sell the house, sell the kids" or "not yet," I have compiled my top 20 questions on this camera. Would anyone who actually has an M11 be able to share the answers (if there are any yet)? 

1. What is the relative shutter lag to a Sony A7rii or iii? Answered below - thanks!
2. Does the monitor brightness have a reasonable number of gradations (i.e., not "coarse" like the M240)? Answered below - thanks!
3. How long is the EVF (Visoflex) blackout when you shoot a frame? Answered below - thanks!
4. Can you magnify an off-center focus point in the EVF? Answered below - thanks!
5. Is there GPS in the Visoflex? If not, in the camera? Answered below - thanks!
6. Is Visoflex stabilization useful? Answered below - thanks!
7. Does the pattern metering take color into account?
8. Does it work well with UHS-1 cards too? Answered below - thanks!
9. Does the touchscreen get activated by your nose if you are left-eyed? Answered below - thanks!
10. What is the black variant's bottom cover? Aluminum? Brass? Zinc? Else?
11. Can you shoot with the camera tethered to USB-C for power?
12. How well does a 35/1.4 ASPH or 75/1.4 hold up on the sensor?
13. How do your other lenses perform? Any unexpected front/back focus issues?
14. Does the Zeiss ZM 21/4.5 exhibit color shift? Or did the new cover glass fix that?
15. Do symmetrical wideangle lenses still have corner smearing? Better than before? Same question on the cover glass.
16. How is the overall experience relative to an M240 if you had one? Answered below - thanks!
17. Is the rangefinder adjustment bolt (in the body "throat") still a 2mm hex?
18. Have you experienced any differences in reading 6-bit lens codes applied to non-Leica lenses and LTM adapters?
19. How (if at all) is the top plate protected from strap hardware?
20. Have you found an Arca or similar plate that would allow dismounting the battery without removing the plate? Answered below - thanks!

16. Night and day.  It is a big step up from the M10 which in my experience was overall on many aspects that I found important already a step up from the M240

20. The Leica grip accessory is Arca compatible and allows you to access the battery and memory card

1. Shutter lag in Sony cameras depends on the mode used (AF, MF, prefocused). The fastest Sony shutter lag (prefocused) is probably between M10-R and M11. The difference should not be noticeable. Sony has considerably longer shutter lag in MF mode. I am using numbers by Imaging Resource and Sean Reid.

2. I do not own 240 any longer, but the rear LCD looks great to my eyes.

3. Very short EVF blackout. LV is much improved with M11.

4. Yes, you can magnify off-center.

5. No GPS in Visoflex 2.

6. LV stabilization is very useful.

8. UHS-I cards work well.

9. Your nose can move the magnification point only if your LCD is active

If you happen to have only one eye and it is the left one, When should it activate the screen? if you are shooting LV with EVF the screen is off, If you are using LV on LCD the nose it away from camera (I hope) when you use RF the screen is off! =Does the touchscreen get activated by your nose if you are left-eyed?

11. You can use a power bank to charge a little, it would not be tethered. there is no tethered to computer right now. = Can you shoot with the camera tethered to USB-C for power?
12. the 35 FLE is very good = How well does a 35/1.4 ASPH or 75/1.4 hold up on the sensor?
13. that would be a lens issue not the camera! = How do your other lenses perform? Any unexpected front/back focus issues?
14. the 21mm Leica SEM is very clean. If you are using old lenses made for film you milage may wary .= Does the Zeiss ZM 21/4.5 exhibit color shift? Or did the new cover glass fix that?

18. that is a question to what are you using, if you have old lenses no lens correction are added. = Have you experienced any differences in reading 6-bit lens codes applied to non-Leica lenses and LTM adapters?
19. has anyone had it enough to test it? I don't use the soap rings and never had any problems.  = How (if at all) is the top plate protected from strap hardware?
