I really hope it's right, Louis 🙏🏻

Me too!

Although, there is no "suggestion" of the sensor and no a suggested image of the front part!!!... Just imagine this one as the new CL2 with one of those large sensors we see in other cameras! lol

A dream for those of us who are believing in Santa!...

It's certainly not a CL2 or TL3 as you do not have the twin wheels on the top plate. Since the thumb indent and top plate look identical to the Q2, I suspect this might be a form prototype of the Q3. If it is then it looks like it could be the next generation of physical UI for Leica and the M11 as the last of the current physical UI.

Unfortunately I do not believe in Santa Claus anymore 😂.  Yes it seems that it is the new Q3 - if they put 60 + MP in it - it will easily be able to cover from 26-70+ mm.  Then I could sell all my other Leica  and when my TL / CL no longer follows the development and covers my needs I can buy another brand for the long lenses.  It will be cheaper 🤞🏻 in the long run.  But a wise move for Leica I do not know.  As long as there is hope, I will keep the Leica I have.  Canon R3 with 24-70 mm and 70-200 mm and 100 mm Macro has been ordered and will arrive in February.  There is not much time before Canon arivive. So maybe Santa still exists 😂😂🎅🏻🎅🏻 Still hoping for CL2 because it is for a completely different private purpose.

Clearly a new iteration of the Q with a flip-out fully articulating screen the can possibly even be faced inwards like an M10-D. If this is a Q3 then there will be a new sensor, higher res and possibly BSI. USB-C, etc etc.

Pretty bizarre that Leica leaked their own hush hush product by accident. It must be fairly advanced in development then...

It must be from the Chinese mole at Wetzlar! :D

It looks pretty much like a Q for sure; but  you never know; they also may be inspired by their Q to make a new design for another camera! ;)

It could also be that Leica are testing alternative forms of the Q3 with customers. If you look closely at the join between the top plate and the body it does not look like it has been machined from separate pieces. This could simply be a 3D printed form alternative and there may be others we have not seen. If that were the case then the final Q3 might be some way off yet.

Judging from the proportion of the viewfinder / screen / text - Leica Camera Wetzlar Germany / the size of the straps ears/ size of Dials / horseshoe (this is universal fix size to scale from) it is smaller than the current Q2

Using the horse shoe width of 20mm to scale from I can deduce that the camera size is 124mm wide and 76 mm high.

It looks more of a CL size.

It is Q3 for sure, it has every Q line up design cue : exactly the same size as Q2, integrated thumb rest, viewfinder shape, speed dial, even right dial is at the same position.

So really just a Q2 with flip out scree and every buttons on the right

By the way CL is shorter.

...here is a little PS exercise - the leaked photo as an overlay on the current Q2, and I tried to resize it as good as possible (horseshoe as benchmark). Then I have put the leaked on top of the Q2 (with 50% opacity) so that "LEICA CAMERA" exactly matches. With the position and size of the top plate dials/buttons this (if not a fake at all) clearly hints at the next Q.

Unfortunately, I keep hearing from people "in the know" that the CL/TL series will be discontinued. I think that's a real shame. I love the CL and even my TL2 is a great camera. I don't care what people say (and I have at least one of every current Leica family camera), it's the best balance of handling and performance in the line and the lenses are terrific.

I would personally love to see a CL2 with IBIS and weather sealing. Perhaps improvements to AF. I am not on the MP bandwagon - I'll just say that sensor density is mostly marketing hype. Dynamic range and noise are much more important. Maybe for a fixed lens camera it gives you cropping flexibility, but not for an ILC. So tired of all the continued MP wars.

Anyway, if you, like me, have a soft spot for the CL and lenses, I would perhaps buy them soon.

Middle of last year when I first heard of Leica's intention not to continue the APS-C line, I ditched my CL and replaced it with an M-mount body.  I missed the camera so much that I recently reacquired one, and more recently a second copy, and have managed to scrounge up four of the TL lenses so far with a fifth on the way.

A scroll through the CL image thread, noting especially the images by forum friends like @Boojay and @Louis , shows the camera to be as versatile image-wise as any full frame body.

Even if Leica chooses to continue the line, my only concern would be that, in perhaps adding features like weather-resistance and IBIS, they might have to cut a corner or two on existing features.  Whether they carry the line into the future or not, I intend to enjoy the present gear for some time to come.
