How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and s

Fun fact - my dad was an RN trainee aboard SS Deerwood, part of convoy FS- 559 and was one of the 7 ships that ran aground and sunk on Haisborough sands in Aug 1941   was saved by the Cromer lifeboat skippered by the celebrated Henry Bogg GC, BEM

Dan Drivers ~ Salman Matar

 

For the past three years, Salman Matar has been making his daily commute from the village of Ein Mahel in northern Israel to his destination at the Dan public transportation company's bus parking lot in central Tel Aviv.

Salman (27, newly married), drives and serves the public on the busy public transportation lines of Bnei Brak - an Orthodox city of about a quarter of a million residents, located in the Tel Aviv area.

In his free time, Salman likes to sit and enjoy the lush Galilee landscape with his wife, as well as sail his boat on the Sea of Galilee; go fishing, and hang out with friends.

Congratulations to Salman Matar for his perseverance and dedication to the challenging role of being a bus driver!
