How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and s

I edited a further shot and in order to achieve better management of contrast I masked the sky using Lightroom to be able to optimize both landscape and sky separately. Colours are more shining now at the maple trees with a bit warmer setting. The sky received a cooler tone but not too much to maintain a natural look.

Both versions are good, but I’m drawn more to the original. I think it’s the more natural looking dynamic range on the leaves.  
 

either way, both are outstanding

Last chance at the violet Vygie cascade...
The flowers have already peaked and are slowly deteriorating. This time the sun stayed out long enough for the flowers to be fully open.

I was photographing holding up my M11 on a fully extended monopod two meters above my head, using the Leica Fotos app to take photos. 😆

Today, because I was in Wetzlar because of my Summilux-M 1:1.5 /90, I tested the LEICA APO-SUMMICRON-R 180 mm f/2 that was for sale there on my M 11-P. It's a real beast, but at f2 it produces brilliant images. Here are two from the store. Is there a reason why you should buy it? I bought the Apo-Elmarit-R 1:2.8 /180 about 6 weeks ago and the reason is because you can just about hold it in your hand. Please, please give me lots of reasons why I should stay away from it...
