I'm still at the foot of the learning curve for the M11. I was in Dundee this morning, and the Tay bridge was looking very fetching as it disappeared into the fog. I shot a few frames, in aperture priority. My M11, I've noticed, randomly over-exposes a frame here and there, when the dial is set to 'A' . I'm aware that others have had the same thing happen. I'm hoping a future firmware update will fix this.

I just looked at my over-exposed frame. You can see how it looked, straight out of camera, with no adjustments. Massive over-exposure. However, a few adjustments, and I was able to recover a ton of detail. I'm deeply impressed. This is leagues ahead of any digital camera I've ever used before.

A black and white jpeg file in high contrast and without sharpening, straight from the camera (Leica M11 & 50/2 LLL ELCAN), passed through Silver Efex Pro software, and reduced using Corel PaintShop Pro
