Sarnian Posted January 7, 2022 Share #21 Posted January 7, 2022 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) With this purchase I now have 4 S cameras (I did have 5 but sold off a sensor corroded + cracked sensor glass 006 on eBay yesterday!). I have a 006 S-E (with a replaced sensor but a slight rear screen aberration - currently on eBay.co.uk), a completely refurbished and sensor-replaced S2-P which Leica did £3,714 worth of Goodwill work on, and my current 007 (which has a slightly stiff shutter button and is rated as 7.5/10). I can't justify - to myself or to my wife! - buying an S3 so I tend to 'make do' with second-hand, non-Mint cameras. I'll continue with the sale of the 006 S-E and also sell the S2-P and keep my current 007 as a backup. If I ever do manage to buy a second-hand S3 I'll sell one of the 007's. Let me know when that happens, with your luck I’m sure you’ll find a creampuff of a deal sooner or later 😎

It was £3,799.00 but was subject to a £500 Clearance discount (so down to £3,299.00). I then got 20% V.A.T. off the £3,299.00 to come out at an amazing £2,749.17 ($3,737.00)!! 🤯 My newest 007 looks to have South Korean writing on the base. Anyone else have this version? Thanks to Google Translate it says something akin to the possibility of disruption to radio equipment when using the GPS function.

Since the UK Brexit vote the Channel Islands are no longer a part of the EU - but nor are we part of the UK as we’re self-governing. Leica UK gave me the go ahead to post direct to Leica… probably to save them the hassle of the Customs paperwork - and the cost! This is the first useful outcome of Brexit I’ve encountered in the wild that I can relate to!:) Edited February 3, 2022 by setuporg
