The neighborhood association finally decided to take action on all the rental bikes cluttering the sidewalks. Hired some bloke from New Zealand to handle the removals. SL w/35SL

This thread has turned into a competition between Stuart and Louis but I'm going to break in with one. I previously posted a b&w of this. Here's the color version.

Brent, as far as I am concerned, I love to see more people posting and thank you so much for your consideration. I am not competing at all, but I live in a city where the street art is a part of life. I just have to leave home, and come back home with a dozen of wall shots! 😂

Paintings are all over every wall and are changing almost every day. I could go for days, if not months! lol.
I really enjoy Stuart posts and really wish many other folks would participate. 😅

My comment wasn't meant as a negative thing, just an observation. I like what both of you have been posting.

I know, I didn’t take it that way; I know what you meant; but I wanted to make sure for anyone visiting the thread. ;)

Allow me, coming out of left field. Just a matter of (my) opinion.

In a broad concept, I have always avoided copying someone else's work of art, unless I can give it it some 'value added' aspect. The exception being if I particularly want/need to document it. Otherwise I feel like a plagiarist.

Sample of my POV below.

I spend a lot of time in the NGV. I use all the artwork on display there as a 'backdrop' for the people I am really shooting. Again, just my POV.

I think you make a valid point, although I think the term "plagiarist" would not apply here. In my opinion, to be plagiarism the people posting these images would have to be representing it as their own work. I would categorize these more as documentary.

Perhaps an interesting thread would be, as you suggest, public art with some kind of value added by the photographer.
