So Leica announced a 10 years anniversary edition of the 35mm summilux, in complete silence, and already sold out.

whats your opinion behind these practises?

The most interesting feature of this edition is the engraving of „FLE“. This abbreviation was never used for the original lens by Leica before. It could be interesting trying to find out when it was used first and by whom. This forum is probably a promising contender for the copyright.

Next special editions could be lenses with „WATE“ or „MATE“ engravings, or even better the „FRANKENFINDER“.

My guessing is 109 units would never been used to take photographs.

One will be used to have first class high praise reviews.

The others ( in not open box ) would gain many times the values of investment.

The Zeiss 50/4 CF T* FLE for Hassleblad 500 series camera was probably the first - I bought mine in1992 …
