I was looking at M10 Monochrom posts and came across a high ISO image thread with a lot of clean, beautiful images at high ISOs.

I'm not talking 3,200 or 6 400, I'm talking between 50,000, and 100,000!

I'd love to see your favourite M10 high ISO shots along with a description of the setting.

Why not at the Monochrom section ?

see this thread for example

64k ISO

...

If we are talking about plain M10, I think that the 6400 ISO or 12.8k is the limit.

So 100k would not be acceptable if we can set there.

Out of curiosity, I just took a frame at max allowed 50K ISO with my M10, not so bad if we like grain.

I see some banding also.

That Monochrom thread is what inspired me to ask for high ISO shots from the standard M10. High ISO being subjective and relative but I was thinking 6400 as a minimum.

Sometimes grain works in an image particularly when shooting rawer, grittier images and when other factors such as subject, light etc are interesting.

If anyone has any higher ISO images from the standard M10 that they like, please feel free to post them.

Did you try process 50K ISO image with DFine2? If you can, would you publish the 50K ISO processed with DFine2?

No, Arnaud, those are just the settings on the ISO wheel.  The M10 can shoot up to ISO 50,000 by selecting through the menu (or setting it up as "M" on the Iso wheel).

Pete.

Thanks Pete.

What I mean here is the usability ( = clean files with 6.4k or 12.8k ) that can be acceptable (for me).

Above that ISO the M10 can be set by menu or M as you state to 50k ISO.

With M10, those high ISO can be considered as emergency use, not regular as the bandings quickly are limiting factors.

...

for example this pic Gelatino provided, I see some bandings in darker areas
