MP shutter curtain damage?

Is this indentation normal for MP shutter curtains? It’s right down the middle and It looks uniform. Is this normal? It doesn’t seem to be affecting anything but still curious.

Mine is from 2003, no sutch marks on it.

If the photo is of the camera without it having the shutter cocked the creases are normal. With the shutter cocked the curtain should be smooth.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look much better with the shutter cocked. You can see a line and a circular indentation. Do you think this going to cause issues?

I just picked this up and it wasn’t cheap.

Isn’t the circular indentation the white metering circle on the other side?  Pretty sure mine has this. 
 

Maybe use it for a while and see if the lines flatten out? It is rubber, after all ….

To me it looks a lot better with the shutter cocked, as @Mute-on says the indentation is the metering circle. It really isn't a problem now nor will it be a problem in the future.

was mostly just concerned that it could cause a light leak or slow down the shutter or catch on something while traveling up and down.

Thanks for the responses. I’ll have a better indication when my film is developed. Was going to shoot a bunch of rolls before developing but to be safe I’ll develope early to verify.

Travel curtains not up/down: horizontal slowish traveling rubberized fabric curtains for soft noise and less vibrations.

This type of shutter is used by Leitz/Leica for almost a century now.

Does my curtain look ok to you? Won’t cause light leaks?

I’ll know for sure in a week or so when film gets developed. I paid $4k for it and the indentation wasn’t mentioned. I don’t care if it isn’t going to cause me issue.

Light leaks will tend to come from the channels at top and bottom or very poor shutter tension and adjustment issues. Those very soft ripples seem unlikely to cause either. 
 

The price you paid is not crazy in the current market, assuming it is cosmetically sound. I say use it and enjoy it. Love my MP

For me these 'bad looking' curtain (not so bad looking in real, I think) can be used as they are without fear.

Over time, I had these 'bad looking' shutters on my multiple M, they took thousands of pics without any possible complaints in results.
