Extra battery for Q2 as rare as "hens teeth"

Received my new Q2 about a month ago and placed an order for an extra battery at that time.  It appears that they are on some sort of backorder status.  Anyone else in a similar predicament?  I believe this battery is also the same on used in the SL.

I just bought one from the Leica Store in LA. They had them in stock.

I picked up one at the store in Rome a week ago. Also significantly less expensive there than US.

It's interesting to note that right now in the US, they appear to be out of stock everywhere again, as they were in the Spring.  As one of the most expensive camera batteries I know of, not sure why Leica can't keep them in stock, especially since they are not of the best milliamp rating, and thus with. SL2 or even Q2, you will need several of them for a days shoot if you do a lot of review of files or attempt to use the Fotos app.

Battery from my Camera store finally arrived.  Explanation from Canada's national Leica distributor.....world shortage due to high volume sales for Q2 and SL models.

Now ready to extend my shooting outings....happy!!
