It must have gotten dirty during shipment.  It was fine when it left our shop.  But don’t worry.  We’ll take care of it.  Put it through a car wash (leave it taped on top of your car), and the dirt will come right off.

May i ask what tax you are referring to? Just curious as the lens is sold VAT included in Germany i guess but i may be wrong.
