I apologise if I have not made it clear what August's Barnack's Monthly topic "Silhouette" is about so I'll reiterate what I wrote in the opening post and again in post #119 : "The definition of a silhouette for this thread is: the outline of someone or something filled-in with a solid colour against a brighter background." This means that the solid colour of the object or person in silhouette should contain no detail and often the brighter background will be provided by a light source towards the viewer.
