We all know what has happened to the prices of Leica M6 cameras in the market these past couple of years. But has anyone seen what people are asking for black chrome M4s now? A good bit more than the average M6. £3K + in some cases.

The ever-upward climb of prices just keeps going. I wouldn't buy a classic Wetzlar M now - it's like the Dutch tulip mania.

A brand new M-A or M-P is beginning to look like excellent value.

I took the move some years ago, after the launch of M-A and using by then the MP and some other Wetzlar Ms.

In my view, M-A was (were, I use two ) excellent value, and as user 'better' (if this means anything) in many way than other Ms.

I traded MP + M4 after that, even as romantic guy I keep some black M4 to see that those old workhorses arrived at retiring age.

As darker side note, I don't quite understand reading everywhere people has problems with their new M-A or MP 🤥.

So beware ...

I was interested in a M6 TTL. Just for fun do sometimes some analogue and get sentimental. But I find the prices far too high for enjoying some sentimentality.
