LocalHero1953 Posted July 23, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 23, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone tried this? If successful, which emulator did you use? Was it a practical success i.e. was it easier/faster/slower than on a smartphone?
Advertisement Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 Hi LocalHero1953, Take a look here Running Fotos in android emulator on PC. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
19Markus68 Posted July 23, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 23, 2021 Didn't try it out, but cannot believe that "slower" would be possible...
LocalHero1953 Posted July 23, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted July 23, 2021 Yes, I agree. It might make tethered shooting easier. I'm sure we'd have heard about it before now if it had been worthwhile. If you are constrained to a phone-sized display, there would be no advantage.
pop Posted July 23, 2021 Share #4 Posted July 23, 2021 If the display size is the main issue, you can always use one of the many Android tablet computers.

Yes, but I want to use my current laptop! I will wait a bit to see if anyone has tried, otherwise I shall just do it myself..
Zivco Photo Posted June 4, 2022 Share #6 Posted June 4, 2022 I attempted to set up Leica Fotos on Windows 10 PC using both NOX and BLUESTACKS. I successfully downloaded the emulators but Leica Fotos app was not listed in Google App Store through either emulator. I currently use the Leica Fotos app on IPad Pro, but I would like to download files direct to PC from M10-P for printing. Why wasn’t the Leica Fotos app listed, other Leica apps for hunting and construction field measuring devices were shown?
jaapv Posted June 4, 2022 Share #7 Posted June 4, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Because it is intended as a mobile app, not a desktop one. I don't even think that it is suitable for Silicon Macs. Leica Geosystems is a completely separate company btw
Elmar Rieth Posted June 7, 2022 Share #8 Posted June 7, 2022 The bluestacks emulator is pretty limited. If you want, you can find the APK (Installation FIle) via Google. Just type "leica fotos apk"
