Fascinating that 24x34 from Nikon that was only the shorter film aperture, so we can duplicate then,

hiding (maybe not easy) at each end of the film gate 1mm 😉 when we use lens like Super-Angulon 21mm,

or other symmetrical lenses which make the frames touching each other.

I always cock the shutter after taking a photo. Like breathing, I don't even think about it so I've never knowingly stored a camera with the shutter left uncocked. I've left bodies unused for many months without a problem.

And yet, that's exactly what you should do. While it doesn't make any difference to the springs, it does make a (minor) difference to the shutter cloth. See here.
