I am fortunate in that I own six Leica M lenses. All of them inspire me to make images. My Q2's 28mm Summilux also inspires me.   Edited June 10, 2021 by Herr Barnack

It's outstanding. But honestly, the lens itself doesn't inspire me to make images as other lenses. I was more inspired by the TT 35/1.4.

There is one lens I simply cannot decide if love or hate, and that's the 50mm Summilux ASPH. I've owned it four times and sold it the same number of times. Now I desperately want one again! 😬 2

Gregm61 Posted June 10, 2021 Share #229  Posted June 10, 2021 (edited) All four of my primary M lenses inspire my use of them, both on my digital M262 and film-based M4; the 21mm f3.4 Super Elmar, 35mm f1.4 FLE Summilux, 75mm f2 APO Summicron (on the M262, sub the 90mm f2 pre-ASPH with the M4) and 135mm f3.4 APO Telyt-M. I recently put the pre-ASPH out for sale, but today I already started to miss that one too, so I removed the add again. What a dilemma. 😫 I guess the only solution is to wait until I can buy it in addition to the other lenses, even though I’ve no idea when that will be. Dennis Posted June 12, 2021 Share #237  Posted June 12, 2021 Before to post a few pictures in other threads, I wanted to post here one. I now understand about "that glow", and the character of the lens you told me about. Because the Nokton is now in the house 🙂 My first Voigtlander ever, such a way to start! When I see the file SOOC, it looked like it has a Kodachrome preset included 🤨 Love it. M10 + CV 35/1.4 II MC wide open P.s. a very inspiring lens to take photos  Welcome, dear visitor! I have never tried this lens, but despite my newly accuired 50 lux asph BC 😀 (and I also own a 50 cron v5) this pre-asph lens still tempts/bugs me… And a modern lux asph will always be available whenever…
evikne Posted June 12, 2021 Share #239  Posted June 12, 2021 A couple of hour ago I was out shooting with the lens I was just about to sell. I took this picture and many more like it. I don't know what I was thinking about, I will of course never sell it! That would have been my biggest mistake ever. Welcome, dear visitor! I don’t see why this shot wouldn’t have been made by a zeiss planar and what would in turn make the lens special... can you develop your explanation a bit more?
