Thanks, I stand corrected. I use the neck straps on the SL2-S and not terribly concerned if the body gets scratched, whereas with my M camera I'm less tolerant.

Granted, a massive lens is a bit harder -- but most people won't be carrying it far anyway and will be setting it up once on site together with a  tripod. For slightly smaller lenses, just have the back of the camera facing out and tuck it into your body. It's those who carelessly swing cameras around that look dicey. Same applies to some online camera reviewers waving the camera in the air while talking. A bit like the glass expert on Antiques Road Show who excitedly waves his arms about near priceless treasures.
