35/1.4 on my CL, but please with character and reasonable size, that was my idea. Used Summilux 35 per-ASPH my first choice; but OMG prices were „impressive“ even if really really really used. I end up with Nokton 35/1.4 II m.c. and wow it rocks, somehow freaky wide open, very modern stopped down. And so great looking and feeling on CL. I have the TL 11-23, a somehow clinical, but absolutely superb lens. And a 35/2.5 Color Skopar and a 50/2.0 Planar which i guess almost never will use again. My brain says the last two could be sold, my heart cannot say goodbye to any lens.

recomendations?

And here the cute Flaring effect wide open. It goes when stopping down.

The lenses I use on my CL the most are the 11-23, a 23 Summicron, and a 55 7 Artisans. I have a 35 pre-asph Summilux but that stays in my M bag. I did buy an L mount 35 f1.4 TTArtisan, but because it was $78, OK lens but it will sit in the bag. I just don't go for the 50mm field, wider or more telephoto appeals to me. Keep the Zeiss sell the 35 f2.5.

The interesting thing about the Pre-asph Summilux and your 35 Nokton, they really behave like 2 lens. Dreamy wide open sharp stopped down.

Thanks guys, yes, the 35/1.4 is dreamy wide open and turns into modern/sharp stopping down. Comparing it with the 35/2.5 results are quite close starting with aperture 2.5 (perhaps the 35/1.4 is slightly better). So the 35/2.5 could leave my bag...

The Zeiss could remain for portraits, but the 35/1.4 might also be used if one plays with flaring etc. wide open.

It seems that one can achieve relatively good prices with used Voightlaender (compared to new prices), but not so much with Zeiss. And Leica-lenses seems to gain value over time 🙂

I have a bag of Voigtlanders and they satisfy my needs perfectly on the CL & my M9M. I have the larger lump 35/1.2 although not as large as the Leica Summilux TL 35

I also have the 50mm f1.2 Nokton and that is wonderful for portraiture.

As mentioned above, Sigma have released a 35/2 that is nice tight and offers AF (I have the 24/3.5 and 45/2.8).

Having a lens set that works on both cameras (in my case CL & M) is very handy indeed and Voigtlander are seriously good lenses for what I do.
