Lumix Posted May 3, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 3, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have the Leica Q (current firmware 3.0) but need to update the firmware to 3.1 to use Leica Foto app on my iPhone 12. I am concerned that doing so will affect my settings. Do I need to save my current profile to the SD card. If so, is that the same formatted SD card that I will use to download the update? I also have been reluctant to take this step when I read some related threads but these are fairly old as most info seems to be on the newer Q2 so perhaps things have improved. jaapv Posted May 3, 2021 Share #4 Posted May 3, 2021 You can save your settings to the same card. However it is practical to carry a small card with your settings on it.

jaapv Posted April 15, 2022 Share #12 Posted April 15, 2022 The reason need not apply to all owners. My position on updates in general, not just cameras, is: Only update if there’s a compelling reason to do so. Keeping up with the Joneses is not a compelling reason. investor Posted February 13, 2023 Share #13 Posted February 13, 2023 My Leica Q has 2.0 firmware, but I would like to update it to the latest 3.1 firmware. Will I need to update it to 3.0 first and then update from there to 3.1? Or can I just update straight to 3.1 from 2.0 (where it's currently at now)? andybarton Posted February 13, 2023 Share #14 Posted February 13, 2023 No, you can just go straight to the latest version.
