i'm ok either way and if they could make an option that doesn't clutter up the menus that would be fine too. so, if you do a poll, put in a 'whatever' option.

what i'd really really like for them to do now they've made the camera 99.9% perfect for me is to take a search and delete run through the manual and delete every reference to the word 'zoom' which belongs nowhere in any documentation about the q2.  ( :) but not really )

/guy

The "whatever" option on the menu would be essentially to offer users the option to choose their preferred implementation then? Or that they don't care either way? I think the poll should ask whether being given the option is desirable or not? I am not arguing for doing away with the existing option, as I understand that it suits some people and it is a heritage issue, albeit a gimmicky one since the Q/Q2 is not a r/f...:)

With the new firmware... is there a way to have the spot focus return to the center of EVF?  I know that the double tap works for the tracking, but would like to be able to center the spot focus.  Thanks

Nothing has changed. Even when you are looking through the EVF and the back monitor is dark, double-tapping it will return the focus point (spot or other) to the center.
