Advertisement Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Hi MSMLEICA, Take a look here Noctilux 1.25/75mm Quality Issues. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
a.noctilux Posted April 9, 2021 Share #2 Posted April 9, 2021 (edited) Welcome here, I don't have the lens, after trying it, the weight/size was more than I can "hold". Summilux-M 75mm user since decades, and nothing to complain. Even if I don't have the 75mm Noctilux, I have never yet seen any complain of "quality issues" of this magnificent lens. More with user issues than the lens, I think. Maybe your post would reveal those issues? ... have a nice read here, this link Edited April 9, 2021 by a.noctilux

Best - MSMLEICA I purchased a 75 1.25 Noctilux new and reveled in its quality and especially the magical balance of image rendering, which in simplistic terms I would say is like a 50 APO on steroids yet with the smoothest, dreamiest out of focus rendering of any Leica lens. The build quality and function though were superb. I did end up selling it as I am disabled with a spinal cord injury so my arms and hands are not very strong so the weight and size of the lens were just too much for me. Superb lens though in every measure.
darylgo Posted April 9, 2021 Share #4 Posted April 9, 2021 No quality issues for me, the focus is spot on at f1.2 with the rangefinder. I would speculate that the great expense would be partially accounted for by the precision necessary to assemble the lens.
