Up until now my printer has been fine. I'm using the new P900. The printer is pumping out images with yellow and green tint. What in the world?!? Any idea how to fix this? Jeff Checked the color management and I believe that is good. I didn't think to run a nozzle check though only because I haven't used it that much and rarely had to do so with the 3880. I'll do it and see if it helps. Thanks Jeff. I do recall doing a firmware update the last time I used the printer so maybe something happened there. UliWer Posted March 21, 2021 Share #5 Posted March 21, 2021 (edited) Are you using color mangament by printer or any other profiles? I'd recommend the printer's own management with the Epson. Are you sure you have installed the proper driver for the printer? I once noticed that the Epson driver was not active but the printer run only on the default driver by OS X. I had to load the Epson driver again and it did wonders. Other users in the German forum had the same experience when they used WifI connection between the Mac and the printer. P.S.: Your mention of the firmware update raises my suspicion if the right driver is installed. It is usually not a printer's problem, but one of the computer. I have never used an Epson printer, I have found with Canon printers that I have to check the settings on the printer driver and on the printer itself, even when I use Photoshop Manages Color. Jeff S Posted March 22, 2021 Share #9 Posted March 22, 2021 (edited) Haven’t had problems with nozzle clogs after 7 years with Epson 3800, or 5 years with P800. But IP also works with Canon, another fine choice. I would consider the Prograf 1000 in lieu of the P900, especially given the reduction to 50ml cartridges in the latter.
